July 2010
Monday 5th - Friday 9th. Our annual children's holiday club ran this week. 58 youngsters came along and enjoyed the fun

 

June 2010
Monday 14th - our Christian Action Group held the annual Old Folks' Car Run tonight. This year they went for a run in the country and stopped at Sorn for ice cream and then back to the Church Hall for tea and a blether.


Thursday 10th - a group of pupils from our local primary school came to visit the church to learn about the Communion service. While they were there, Mr and Mrs Geddes from Prestwick came along to tell them about Ayr Presbetry's link with Malawi.

 

May 2010

Sunday 30th - two of our members were presented with certificates to mark 30 years service to the Church.

Saturday 29th - The Guild's annual trip took them to Keswick in the Lake District and as usual, they stopped for a slap up meal on the way home!


Friday 7th - with the Spring cleaning season came the annual Nearly New Sale which raised a magnificent total of £1014

April 2010
Friday 23rd - the Choir had a social night out thanks to Mr and Mrs A Wilson who donated their house and garden.

Friday 30th - our BB company held their annual display in the Community Centre. The Inspecting Officer was Mr Alex Jess

 

 

March 2010
Monday 29th - the Open Door had a trip to Nurseries Direct and from the photos it looked liked they "bought the shop"!

January 2010
Saturday 30th - once again we held our annual Burns' Supper in the Church Hall

Top table guests included the Minister and Mrs K Mitchell
along with Mr I Burgoyne, Mr J Murray and Mrs Shuttleworth
As usual, the hall was packed with a highly appreciative audience
of our "Drouthy Cronies"

'Tis the season to be jolly - everybody loves a party and our extended church family is no different. Here are some photos from our various celebrations.

Saturday 5th December - we held our annual Christmas Fair at which a staggering £3045 was raised. Well done to all concerned.

November 2009

Tuesday 17th November - our new minister Rev Helen Cuthbert was ordained and inducted.


This year Remembrance Sunday fell on the 8th November.

This month we've been busy celebrating various anniversaries within the church organisations.

On Friday night the 28th we held our annual Christmas Concert

The Open Door was a youthful 10 years old

September brings the Autumn Fayre and once again it was well attended.

We raised almost £1000 - well done to all concerned.

The Christian Action Group held their annual concert and tea where we were entertained by the Sanquhar and District Silver Band
