September

We held our annual Autumn Fayre on the 10th and raised the sum of £1084. Well done to all those who organised and took part.

 

June 2011

The Sunday School trip went to Pirate Pete's at Ayr for the first part of our trip. The children had lots of fun. We then moved to the Low Green where the children enjoyed their lunch and had time in the sand pit, swings and climbing frames before having an ice cream cone and heading home. A great day was had by all. Thanks to Isobel Dalzell for the arrangements.


The Christian Action group once again held their annual car run for our senior citizens. After a drive through the Ayrshire countryside which took them through Mauchline, our seniors ended up back at the church hall for the usual tea.

This month also saw the retiral of Mrs May Rorison (right) as convener of the Coffee Bean. We thank her for all the hard work that she has put in over the years. The presentation was made by Mrs Mary McCormack on behalf of the Coffee Bean

On the afternoon of Saturday the 7th the Sunday School held their annual Sponsored Walk. We went up the Afton Road and along the path to Knockshinnoch......

...... where we had a wee rest in the playpark because the adults were exhausted!

The Open Door had a wee trip to Dobbies Garden Centre at Ayr

Our annual Burns Supper was held in the church hall on Saturday the 29th

Over a hundred people sat down for traditional fare and an evening of music, verse and song.

 

December 2010
Once again it's Christmas Time and the Church organisations have been busy.

The Guild had a trip to a local garden centre......
.......to see the decorations.

The Choir entertained the congregation at the annual Christmas Concert.

Once again the Christmas Fayre was an outstanding success. Well done to all who took part

 

August 2010
Tuesday 31st - the Christian Action Group presented it's annual concert. This year we were entertained by the Cumnock Area Musical Production group.


Sunday 15th - to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the Reformation in Scotland, we are holding various events. The first of these was a conventicle at the memorial to the martyrs, Corson and Hair.

Monday 5th - Friday 9th. Our annual children's holiday club ran this week. 58 youngsters came along and enjoyed the fun
